NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Expedites Review of Regulatory Relief Requests for PHAs in Disaster Areas through 2017

Today, HUD published a notice expediting the review process of requests for relief from HUD regulatory and administrative requirements for Public Housing Agencies (PHAs). As a result of Major Disaster Declarations (MDDs) made by the President following Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, PHAs and tribes located in Texas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Florida, and Georgia may receive expedited review of waiver requests through the remainder of the calendar year.
