The NAHMA Educational Foundation has selected 111 student residents to receive scholarships this year. Each scholarship is worth $3,500; the total scholarship money awarded for 2023 is $388,500. Additionally, $2,000 will be donated to the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management at Virginia Tech for scholarships for students pursuing their bachelor’s degree in property management.
“We take immense pride in the NAHMA Education Foundation’s ability to grant scholarship awards to students enrolled in a variety of community colleges, universities, and trade/technical schools across the nation,” said Dr. Alicia Stoermer Clark, chairperson of the NAHMA Education Foundation. “Our recipients encompass accomplished students with diverse academic pursuits, ranging from accounting to veterinary science. Through the unwavering dedication and support of our donors and sponsors, we’ve been able to extend impactful financial awards to this year’s NAHMA scholars. The NAHMA Education Foundation has been fortunate to sustain our scholarship offerings annually since 2006, thanks to the ongoing and generous contributions of our dedicated supporters.”

This year’s class of NAHMA scholars comes from 18 different states and represents 11 regional Affordable Housing Management Associations (AHMAs).
