The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) is heartened by the verdict delivered in Minneapolis yesterday, and prays that it brings a sense of justice to the family of George Floyd. But sadly, the verdict cannot temper the grief for the family of losing a loved one. And there are still too many families across the country mourning the loss of loved ones at the hands of hatred, cruelty, injustice and racism. The verdict is hopefully a step forward on our national journey to eradicate racism of any kind—overt, subtle, systemic and beyond. NAHMA stands in support of this movement forward to ensure equity, inclusion and justice in all aspects of life in America.
